Welcome to the official site of The Tiree Wave Classic

The Tiree Wave Classic is in its 24th year and will be taking place from the 9th -15th of October 2010. This event is the most unique and extreme wave sailing competition, taking place on the furthest westerly point of the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.

This event attracts world class wave sailors from all over the world that are drawn by the ‘take no prisoners’ conditions and the humble, traditional atmosphere of the island.

Due to the challenging location of the event, it would not be possible without the support of Argyll and Bute council, EventScotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. These institutions have supported the event year after year, recognising that the Tiree Wave Classic is a truly top wave sailing event.

The event this year will be no exception with professional international wave sailors, the best extreme film crew and top that off with a soap star trying to run a hotel, it looks that this year’s event is set to be exhilarating and action-packed to date.
